I can honestly say that the past three semesters I have been at Dean I haven't really gotten that stressed out about midterms. That being said....this past week was midterms and I was BEYOND stressed. My time management got a little out of control trying to balance my studying with rehearsals with my five jobs on campus with eating and, finally, with sleeping (or lack there of). HUGE lesson this week: I have to take care of me first...no matter what. I have to be my number one priority, because if I don't take care of myself, I am useless to others.
I am relieved the week is over, but aware of what lies ahead; New Orleans. The group of us officially leave our Dean College campus at 3:30am Saturday, March 7th, 2009. I am anxious to get there because I know how much work needs to be done but conscious of the emotional rollercoaster that will ensue as soon as the plane touches the runway. All of us will have a group dynamic to deal with, tasks to accomplish, and personal revelations to acknowledge throughout the week. I will write as often as possible (I don't know if we will have internet access) and look forward to sharing pictures and stories from the trip.
Happy Spring Break! : )
